Hey all,
You have heard me rave about Essence products a couple of times now, and you are going to hear it a couple of times more. I seem to love every single Essence product that I try and cannot get enough of them; this eye pencil is not any different.
I picked the black one up a few weeks ago and loved it so much that I headed back to expand my colour collection. I picked up Black Fever, I Have a Green, Think Khaki, Remember Amber, Go Wild and C'est La Vie!.
For $2.95, I can afford every colour of the rainbow.

What Essence Says
- Super soft and precise application. Long lasting.
What I Love
- It really is long lasting; it won't budge or smudge during the day.
- Goes on smoothly and doesn't tag at the skin.
- Highly pigmented.
- Automatic pencil, no need to sharpen.
- Quite a wide colour choice.
- Cheap.
What I Don't
- I have found that the pencil tends to break quite a bit - but maybe that is just me?
- My local Target is always sold out! Fix it!

These have become one of my favourite cheaper, long-lasting eye liners. I particularly love Black Fever, Think Khaki and Remember Amber. Oh Essence, you have impressed me again!
Have you tried these, or are you going to? Do you have a favourite liner under $5?
Hope you all have a great night! xx
*Exciting update! I have purchased all the products for my giveaway and it should be up later tonight or tomorrow!

Go Wild looks so pretty! I own a liner from this brand, it's pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are all so gorgeous! What liner do you have? xx
DeleteOoh!! How stunning are those! Makes me wanna go and buy and try 'em!! Covergirl makes my fav eyeliner pencil... but they're around $10+ mark... :( wish they were cheaper...
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous! I haven't tried the Covergirl ones, I will have to have a look at them! xx
DeleteI love the "I have a green." I'll have to check out my local Target this week :)
ReplyDeleteI have the 'I Have A Green' in my upcoming giveaway as well! It really is gorgeous! xx
DeleteI love how they're all retractable! That's the laziness in me speaking though. I hope they have a bronzey coloured one, I think that's a colour missing in my collection. Thanks for the review :) xx
ReplyDeleteSame, I hare sharpening - haha! And I am pretty sure that I spotted a bronzey type colour! xx
DeleteAhh, I love all the colours!!

DeleteI remember using Black Fever last year but I stopped for some reason but I'm defiantly going to re-purchase again and give them another go :) When these were coming near the end I remember they used to break one me also, but I wouldn't really mind that :)

Let me know if you love it when you do re-purchase! Yeah, the breakage doesn't bother me too much - especially at the price they are at! xx
Deletelove all the colors!

Aren't they gorgeous?! xx
DeleteI love essence products! There blushes are so pigmented I made the mistake of swirling my blush brush in it to hard thinking that a product under $5 wouldn't have great pigmentation. Was I ever wrong, I had a not-so-nice really coral cheek. They are great when you don't use a lot of product though.
ReplyDeleteFor all of the Canadian readers, essence can be found in Shoppers Drug Mart! :)

DeleteI've been hearing so much about Essence lately. I only found out about them after being given one of their lipglosses (which is lovely). I really need to venture further into this brand. x
ReplyDeleteThey are really a great brand, especially for their price! Definitely great cheaper alternatives to many items! xx
DeleteI love " I Have A Green " :X
ReplyDeleteIt is such a gorgeous shade! I am giving one away in my current giveaway as well! :) xx

They really are!! xx
DeleteWow! If only I could buy Essence near me I would. Thanks for the review :)

Thanks, I'm glad you liked reading it!
DeleteIt's a pity you can't get Essence near you, such a wonderful brand! xx
Thaanks for the swatches!! I have this in hot chocolate, which is a shade away from being a black, but it's still not too dark to be a harsh liner. I agree that it' very soft && long-lasting, but I haven't had any breakage of it yet(: Can't wait to try out these other colors! Thanks lovey<33
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome! I haven't tried the brown one, but will have to add it to the collection!
DeleteLet me know what other shades you pick up! xx
I ended up getting the c'est la vie! It's a gooooorgeous silver!! I've been searching for the perfect, creamy silver liner, and tried almost everything in the book, but this is really it for me!! Maybe this is because of the sparkles, but it doesn't seem to last as long as the brown, and needs touch-ups halfway through the day, but I really can't complain for the price!(: Thanks again for the swatches, you got me off my butt and out to get these at my local Ulta!! Kuddos to you, sweetness!<3
ReplyDeleteIt is such a gorgeous silver, glad that you like it! Perfect for adding a touch of sparkle. Yes, I have found that the glitter ones do not last as long, but like you said, for the price who is complaining?!
DeleteNo worries, glad you enjoyed the post! xx
I did enjoy it, it really helped a lot.(: && I've found this past week that c'est la vie! really works well on the waterline to brighten up the eye and make it look wider!! You should try it, the glitter doesn't bother my eyes in the LEAST, which I really wasn't expecting!! It doesn't tug on the delicate "skin" of the waterline either, glides really smoothly!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what a great tip! I haven't tried it on my waterline yet , just figured it would irritate my eyes! Will definitely try this out! xx
